Pivoting
She pauses mid-motion,
Feeling the pull
Of where she has been
And where she is meant to go.
There is a moment of suspension,
A quiet recalibration,
As instinct begins to override
Old directions.
She turns —
Not abruptly,
But with growing certainty,
Trusting the shift unfolding within her.
What once felt fixed
Now reveals new pathways,
And with this subtle change in course,
Her momentum realigns.
“Pivoting” is a mixed media painting on raw linen that captures the delicate yet decisive moment of inner redirection. Fluid lines and layered translucent colour suggest movement, adjustment, and renewed clarity as energy gathers and redirects across the surface. Both dynamic and contemplative, the work reflects the empowering act of changing course in response to personal growth, embodying the spirit of rediscovery and forward movement central to the Wild and Free collection.
Sized 92 × 92cm currently framed in a hand painted tray frame (matching the linen)
✨ Purchase with Confidence
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind original, lovingly created using premium materials and signed on the reverse — a true expression of colour, energy, and individuality. Every artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity, so you can collect with confidence.
Delivery is included within England, with additional costs for Wales, Scotland, and international destinations. (Please see delivery notes or get in touch for a personal quote.)
I know that choosing art is as much about feeling as it is about seeing, so I offer a ‘try before you buy’ service:
If you’re within 20 miles of the gallery, I’ll personally deliver the painting for you to live with for up to a week before deciding if it’s the right piece for you.
If you’re further away, simply send me a photo of your space and I’ll create a digital mock-up so you can see how it might look on your wall.
Each painting can also be tray framed to your preference — please contact me to explore framing options.
I’m always happy to discuss any artwork by email or phone during office hours (Monday–Friday). You’re also warmly invited to arrange a private studio visit in Braunton — a relaxed, no-pressure opportunity to view available pieces in person.
I want every collector to feel completely at ease. If for any reason the artwork isn’t quite right, you may return it within 14 days (return courier costs apply).
