FAINT WHISPERS IN MY EAR

On occassion I'm drawn to working with a limited colour palatte, there is something about the variations of tone, developing texture and detail that stretches the work to create something complex and interesting.
 
With 'Faint Whispers' the variety of under layers reveal themselves in parts,  I wanted to balance the intensity of marks with larger 'quieter' patches to form an overall composition of this modern art piece.
 
As with all my work, I paint intuitively, dictated by the canvas and paint, I lean into what comes about when putting paint to canvas and as the work forms and dictates the twists and turns I'm challenged to be truly free and accepting.
 
This contemporary art work is roughly 100 x 100 including white frame.
